‘My heart beats for Arsenal’ : Chelsea’s new signing claims

Chelsea are about to make their second signing of the season in the form of Antonio Rudiger from AS Roma.

Rudiger who is currently holidaying in the United States will have a medical for the Blues there. The deal is expected to be announced within this week.

Rudiger is set to join the Blues after spending two seasons with AS Roma in the Serie A. Rudiger who is a Borussia Dortmund youth team product burst into the international football scene with VfB Stuttgart.

But now a report according to Football London claims that Rudiger is a die hard supporter of Arsenal FC.

According to the report, Rudiger wears an Arsenal shirt with Sanchez’s name on the back. And in addition to that, the German also religiously follows Arsenal FC on Youtube.

The 24-year-old said, “I have been following Arsenal since the days of Henry and Bergkamp,”

“I have always dreamed of the Premier League. I watch videos of Arsenal all the time on YouTube and I often wear the current Alexis Sanchez shirt. My heart beats for Arsenal.”

While Chelsea fans up until now have been really happy with the signing but these comments are sure to upset the fans to a certain extent.

Chelsea are also chasing a host of other players which include the likes Everton’s Romelu Lukaku and Monaco’s Tiemoue Bakayoko.
