Arsene Wenger has just secured a new contract with the club amidst huge controversies. But he just cannot sit back and relax. He has the huge task of keeping Alexis Sanchez at the Emirates.

Sanchez just has one year left on his contract and has not yet signed a new one. And all this indicates that the Chilean is on his way out. But Wenger keeps reassuring people that he is going nowhere. Sanchez has interest from the likes of Bayern Munich as well as Chelsea. But it looks as if he could reunite with his old boss at Manchester City.

He has previously played under Guardiola at Barcelona.

Pep Guardiola is confident that 28-year-old will join City after he has been offered £275,000 per week in the form of wages. City and Guardiola feel that such an offer will be hard to resist for Sanchez, who is already wanting a way out of Arsenal.

The Arsenal man had been previously linked with German champions Bayern Munich. Even the Chilean national team called Sanchez a Bayern player while naming their national squad. But the deal has reportedly fallen out because Bayern are not willing to meet such steep wage demands from the Chilean. Having said that, if Sanchez does come to City then he will be the highest footballer in their payroll. But City do have a heavier pocket compared to that of Bayern.

The Chilean has just come out of a wonderful for Arsenal scoring 30 goals in all competitions for the Gunners. And Guardiola will definitely want him in order to boost his attacking lineup.
