How Man Utd buying Morata will eventually help Mbappe

The footballing transfer market is one big puzzle if you ask me. You need every piece to fit in perfectly in order to get the whole picture.

And Man Utd buying Morata might just be one of the most important pieces of the puzzle. You might ask, how? Well for starters it will hugely help Kylian Mbappe.

Sounds weird? Let me explain.

United in the past week or so have been heavily linked with Bayern’s Robert Lewandowski. This after Lewandowski’s manager had claimed that his client wants to leave in the summer.

But now Bayern Munich have released an official statement saying that they have no intentions of selling their top goal scorer. And any club that tries to do so will get sanctions from FIFA. So now United are in bit of a fix as they have no other option but to go back to their primary transfer target which was Alvaro Morata.

United did make a bid for Morata a couple of weeks back but it was rejected by Madrid as the quoted amount fell short of the asking price. But now with Robert Lewandowski out of reach United have no other option but to submit a revised bit for Morata.

And if the deal does finally go through then it will eventually help Kylian Mbappe. It is no hidden secret that Real Madrid are almost sort of desparate to sign the Frenchman. But Monaco have quoted a price which is well over €100 million. And Florentino Perez is hoping to gather all that fund by selling Alvaro Morata to Manchester United.

After the Lewandowski situation, Man Utd buying Morata seems a desparate deal more than anything. United are currently without a high-profile striker having released Zlatan Ibrahimovic from their ranks. And now in this situation Man Utd buying Morata will make a lot of sense. Has to make a lot of sense as a matter of fact.

And in doing so Mourinho might just indirectly influence Kylian Mbappe’s move to Real Madrid.
