Jose Mourinho Knows Exactly Why Romelu Lukaku Suddenly Can’t Score Goals

Romelu Lukaku started off his career at Manchester United with 10 goals from 11 games but since then the Belgian striker looks to have left his scoring boots in the locker room. Like quite literally.

Lukaku missed a golden opportunity during the Watford game to put his name on the score sheet and after the match, Jose Mourinho explained the reason why his hitman isn’t amongst the goals.

The manager said the Lukaku needs to change his current boots and get a good pair in order to get himself back to scoring form.

Mourinho said, “He needs a big contract with boots,

“He needs a brand to give him the right boots. He finished the deal. He is waiting for the right offer.

“He didn’t have a contract with any brand, that is why he is playing in black boots, he needs the right boots.”

But these comments were all in good humour and he added, “Jokes apart he works amazingly well for the team and I will never, never blame a player like him for the easy chance that he missed,

“With me, he knows he doesn’t have that pressure, he is an amazing player.”

Lukaku started the season in fine form but as the months have rolled by his impact has also decreased. But up until now, he had no direct competition to striker’s position but with Zlatan Ibrahimovic getting back to full fitness, the Belgian definitely needs to up his game.
