Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United have received some positive news in the signing of Fulham’s 17-year-old left-back Ryan Sessegnon.

The youngster has impressed heavily since breaking into the first team last season and both Spurs and United are said to be interested in the player. Reports claimed that Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has pinpointed Sessgnon as a long-term candidate for the left-back role and the club were preparing a bid for the January transfer window. The bid is supposed to be in the region of £25 million which will include an immediate loan back clause until the end of the season.

And now it seems that Fulham manager, Slavisa Jokanovic has gone on record to say that even though he would love to keep the youngster but unfortunately the final decision is not his to make.

“I don’t know if these clubs are interested in this player,” Jokanovic told West London Sport.

“People around him are clever enough to know that after 50 games for us he is in a very good situation.

“We will see what people around him and what Fulham are going to decide. I don’t have information about whether Fulham are going to sell.

“This decision is not in my hands. It is not my decision.

“But Fulham don’t want to sell him and the kid doesn’t say anything (about leaving), so I am thinking about him for the future for the season ahead of us.”

Spurs left-back Danny Rose is possibly on his way out of the club and Mauricio Pochettino is currently on the lookout for a new and young left-back. And now that the Fulham manager has confirmed that Sessegnon might now stay with the club for very long, it is sure to peak interest from both Spurs and Man United.
