The Gunners fans might just have to wait a bit longer than expected before they see Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in an Arsenal jersey.

Arsenal are set to make the Gabon International the highest paid player in the club as the striker is expected to earn £180,000 a week in a three and a half year contract.

The transfer was expected to be announced on Tuesday but now it seems that Arsenal will have to wait until the transfer deadline day before they can make the Aubameyang deal official.

As per a report from online sportsbook LeoVegas Sport(as reported by the Express), the transfer is expected to be complete between 8 pm and 10 pm on Wednesday.

The transfer window closes at 11 pm on Wednesday and it seems that Borussia Dortmund are holding back the move until they are able to sign a replacement to Aubameyang.

The Bundesliga outfit were eyeing a move for Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud but with the French International not too keen to move out of London, Dortmund have shifted their focus to Chelsea’s Michy Batshuayi and are working hard to wrap up the deal before Wednesday afternoon.
