Its been a horror for former Rangers FC midfielder Carlos Pena as he was booed by his own fans when he was called off the field during Cruz Azul’s defeat against the Necaxa at Estadio Azul.

The on-loan Rangers FC midfielder was trolled due to an ankle injury on his debut. His former Ibrox manager Pedro Caixinha has shown a non-quitting spirit after the catastrophic result which resulted in the loss of 3 points due to which they are currently in the 13th position on the league table.

Caixinha gave Carlos Pena his first start for Azul since arriving at the club on loan. But his debut for the team did not go too well as he had to be stretchered off the pitch after suffering a horrible tackle.

But to rub salt to his wounds, Pena was constantly booed by his own supporters while being carried off the pitch. The injury is undoubtedly a sorry sight and it is being assumed that the midfielder will be out for a long time.

After the 2-0 defeat, the former Rangers FC manager refused to accept that his team is collapsing and insisted that he is the right man for the job despite picking up just one win during the past six games.
