There have been lots of talks in recent weeks about right-back James Tavernier’s future at Rangers FC but it seems that the Scottish outfit have finally sorted it out.

James Tavernier has been a huge success since he moved to Glasgow from Wigan back in 2015 and has played a massive role in promoting Rangers to the Scottish Premiership.

The 26-year old Englishman has extended his contract for 2 years until 2021. This is exclusively reported by Football Insider

Tavernier started playing for Rangers FC from 2015, and till now he has made 125 appearances – scoring 23 goals. In the current season, he had 24 appearances in the Scottish Premiership where he had scored 3 goals and 3 appearances in League Cup where he scored 1 goal.

The January transfer certainly brought the likes of Jamie Murphy, Jason Cummings, Greg Docherty and Russell Martin to the club, with this potential the club is looking quite good and are standing 3rd in Scottish Premiership table.

For the first time in a few years, the future of James Tavernier looks promising at Rangers FC, and the new contract will only add to the feelgood factor.
