Borussia Dortmund are planning to make Michy Batshuayi’s loan deal permanent during the summer transfer window – as per reports.

BVB lost Aubameyang who joined Arsenal last month but it seems that the German outfit have found a very apt replacement in the form of Michy Batshuayi. The striker has fitted in seamlessly into the first team setup at the club and Dortmund want him to stay for more than just a couple of month.

According to the Evening Standard, BVB will try and make Batshuayi’s loan deal permanent during the summer transfer window despite Chelsea not too keen to let the player move out of Stamford Bridge permanently.

Batshuayi joined Chelsea from Marseille in 2016 for a reported transfer fee of €35 million but despite that hefty price tag the Belgian has not quite been able to get regular first-team starts under Antonio Conte.

Up until last month, the 24-year-old had scored just 2 goals in 12 Premier League games this season for Chelsea. But at Borussia Dortmund, the striker has already clocked up 3 goals in just 2 matches.

Dortmund’s CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke has said that the club wanted to sign Batshuayi permanently during January but Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich was not too interested in the offer.

Now though the Blues have signed Olivier Giroud from Arsenal and if the Frenchman can win the trust of Conte in the next couple of months then Michy Batshuayi will have a very good chance to call Germany his home for atleast the next couple of seasons.
