Like seriously, can it get any worse for Antonio Conte and Chelsea?

After a solid draw against Barcelona in the Champions League, it felt as if the Blues’ season was once again back on track. But then they lost 2-1 to Manchester United and things have started crumbling yet again. A couple of days after the defeat at Old Trafford, rumours were ripe that Eden Hazard has rejected a new deal with the Blues in the hope of joining Real Madrid during the summer. And now it seems that another first team player is planning an exit.

Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois reportedly met with representatives of Paris Saint-Germain in Paris earlier this week to discuss a possible switch this summer.

Belgian outlet RTBF reports that Courtois along with his father Thierry met with the PSG officials on Monday and the Belgian has shown an inclination towards moving to Paris.

Real Madrid have been long-term suitors of the shot-stopper and this meeting with the Ligue 1 outfit is sure to raise a few eyebrows in the footballing world.

Courtois and Real Madrid seemed to be a match made in heaven as the former Athletico Madrid keeper has time and again stated he wants to head back to Madrid in order to stay with his kids.

Now though it seems that the Belgian International is weighing in his other options.

Courtois’ current contract with Chelsea expires in the summer and the 25-year-old is yet to sign a new deal with the club. The Blues No. 1 has hinted that he wants to move out and with each passing day, he has been becoming more vocal and critical about the club.

A few reports during the start of the new year had suggested that Chelsea had offered the goalkeeper a new deal in which he was slated to earn even more than David De Gea but the Belgian was swift to turn it down.

Last year everyone thought that the delay from Courtois’ part was just a plan to increase his salary at the club but now at this stage of the season it is very evident that the Blues No 1 does not wish to play in England in the next season.
