Arsenal are set to welcome Stoke City at the Emirates on Sunday and Arsene Wenger will surely have one eye on the Europa League clash.

Arsenal are currently thirteen points behind fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur and their only hope of playing in the Champions League next season is to win the Europa League. Wenger will hopefully rest some of his key first team players especially after most of them featured for their respective national teams during the international break.

We take a look at Arsenal’s predicted line-up vs Stoke City:

ARSENAL TEAM NEWS:

Nacho Monreal has recovered from his back injury but we feel that Arsene Wenger will not risk him against the Potters. This means that Sead Kolasinac will start in left-back on Sunday. Laurent Koscielny featured for France during the international break which means that Arsene Wenger will try and rest him before the Europa League clash. Mustafi though was not selected during the international break and will start in central defence alongside Holding. Hector Bellerin has recovered from an ankle problem and will take up his role in right-back on Sunday.

Both Elneny and Granit Xhaka came up with good performances during the international break and they will once again feature in central midfield for Arsenal against Stoke City. Aaron Ramsey had a small operation in order to solve a groin problem but he is back to full training. Wenger though will not try and risk him before the Europa League clash in midweek.

Alexandre Lacazette is fully fit but Pierre Emerick Aubameyang will lead the line against Stoke City given the fact that the former Dortmund man will not be available to play for Arsenal in the Europa League.

The trio of Mesut Ozil, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Iwobi will play behind Aubameyang.

ARSENAL’S PREDICTED LINE-UP VS STOKE CITY:

Goalkeeper: Petr Cech.

Defence: Kolasinac, Mustafi, Holding, Bellerin.

Midfield: Elneny, Xhaka, Mkhitaryan.

Attack: Mesut Ozil, Pierre Emerick Aubameyang, Iwobi.
