Liverpool’s Mo Salah is easily one of the best players in the Premier League right now as a result of which many top European clubs are after his signature.

Since joining Liverpool last summer, the forward has netted 38 goals in just 42 games in all competitions and several reports have suggested that both Real Madrid and Barcelona are keen on signing him up during the summer transfer window.

But Don Balon are now claiming that the two La Liga giants are not the only club who have made enquiries about the Egyptian.

The Spanish outfit has revealed that Atletico Madrid were the first team who made contact with Liverpool regarding Mo Salah.

Atletico are currently second on the La Liga table – 11 points adrift of Barcelona and Diego Simeone knows very well that he will have to bring in a fresh crop of players in order to challenge for the title next campaign.

The Madrid based club are also certain that their star player, Antoine Griezmann is set to move out at the end of the season and Simeone is looking at Salah as a possible replacement for the Frenchman.

Mo Salah is without a doubt the crown jewel of Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp has time and again made it clear that the forward is not up for sale.

Liverpool had to part ways with Philippe Coutinho at the start of the new year and the Reds will under no circumstances sell the Egyptian.

With each passing day, the list of clubs interested in Mo Salah seems to be growing and Liverpool will face an uphill task of keeping him at the club for the next season.

But Atletico’s interest in Salah is a blessing in disguise for Manchester United who have been after Antoine Griezmann for a pretty long time.

Up until now, it seemed that Griezmann was on his Way to Barcelona during the summer but the forward has now come out and rubbished all those rumours.

This has given fresh hopes to Manchester United who are expected to launch a bid for the French International during the summer.

And with Atletico on the hunt for a replacement to Griezmann, Manchester United’s chances of signing the 27-year-old have just gotten stronger.
