Manchester United lost to West Bromwich Albion at home on Sunday meaning their cross-city rivals Manchester City were crowned the Premier League champions for the current season.
The City fans had been dreaming of wrapping up the title by beating United in the Derby last weekend but Mourinho’s men managed to delay that unfateful event by picking up a 3-2 win at the Etihad.
That victory clearly got into the heads of the United players who looked lacklustre and uninterested against the Baggies this Sunday.
The Red Devils failed to break through the West Brom defence and on top of that they conceded a cheap goal from the corner which eventually proved to be the match winner.
As soon as City were crowned the champions every one was busy congratulating them.
And to a lot of people’s surprise, even Manchester United posted a message on their Twitter account congratulating their rivals for winning the League.

But this congratulatory message was not taken well by the United fans who were furious at their teams’ social media activities and some of them even demanded that the club fire the person in charge.
While this good behaviour is something that happens quite often across European football but to see it in the Premier League and that too between United and City is a bit startling.
In fact, reports had emerged that Man City captain Vincent Kompany celebrated his team’s win infront of a United fan while Gary Neville posted a tweet which clearly angered the City faithful.
