Manchester United are scheduled to take on Tottenham Hotspur in the FA Cup semi-finals on Saturday and Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino has claimed that the Red Devils will have the upper hand in the Man United vs Spurs encounter despite them playing at Wembley.

The Lilywhites have called Wembley their home this season as White Hart Lane has gone under renovation and many feel that since then semi-final is being played at the Wembley, Spurs will have the home advantage.

But Mauricio Pochettino has rebuffed such claimed and gone onto claim that it is Jose Mourinho’s side who will have the upper hand in the Man United vs Spurs encounter given their experience of play at the stadium.

Pochettino said: “Of course, we feel at home,

“But it’s different to when we play in the Premier League.

“I don’t believe [we will have an advantage] because Manchester United have the experience to play at Wembley, too. It’s not an event just for us.

“I think it will be a typical cup game at Wembley – half Tottenham and half Manchester United. I don’t believe we are going to have some advantage for that.”

Spurs will be using the away dressing room at Wembley during the Man United vs Spurs encounter and it will undoubtedly be an unusual experience for them especially this season.

The Argentine manager was also asked about the inclusion of Toby Alderweireld in the starting line-up for Saturday after the Belgium international started his first Premier League match in almost six months against Brighton in midweek.

And Pochettino responded by saying: “I need to decide the starting XI and the players in contention,

“I am going to decide [on Friday]. I have still not decided. We need to assess players after the [Brighton] game.

“At training today, everyone was good. Only Harry Winks and Danny Rose are still out, but the rest [are fit]. Now we need to decide.”

Tottenham will take the field in the Man United vs Spurs encounter with mixed feelings having won three out of their past five Premier League matches against the Red Devils.

On the other hand, the Lilywhites have lost their last seven FA Cup semi-finals.
