Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha is close to joining Premier League champions Manchester City during the summer transfer window – as per reports.

City have run away with the Premier League title this season but it seems Guardiola will once again dive into the market and sign a couple of new players in order to strengthen his squad for the upcoming campaign.

And as per the reports coming out of England, Wilfried Zaha will be the first big signing for the Spanish manager.

Zaha is no stranger to playing for a big club after his previous stint with Manchester United where he was branded as a big money flop. But Guardiola is hoping that the 25-year-old can turn things around especially on the back of some fine form this season.

Zaha has been instrumental in helping Crystal Palace avoid relegation this season and his manager, Roy Hodgson has already claimed that the club is expected to lose a number of first-team players during the summer transfer window.

Hodgson said: “It’s inevitable we are going to lose a few good players in the summer.”

The reports claim that Wilfried Zaha will join Manchester City during the coming few months for a transfer fee which is expected to be in the region of £50 million.

This means that Palace will make a substantial profit on the player having brought him back from Manchester United a couple of seasons ago for just £3 million.

City though are not only focused on Zaha and they are also rumoured to be eyeing a move for Leicester City’s Riyad Mahrez.
