Manchester United take on Chelsea in the FA Cup final this weekend and Jose Mourinho might already have some serious selection headache.

The United manager has revealed that his team might very well be without Anthony Martial and Romelu Lukaku when his team take on Chelsea at Wembley on Saturday.

Anthony Martial picked up a knee injury on Friday as a result of which he was not part of the match-day squad against Watford on Sunday.

Romelu Lukaku, on the other hand, sustained an ankle injury in last month’s victory over Arsenal and has travelled back to Belgium to recover.

Both these players’ involvements is still a major doubt and Mourinho has indicated that they will go through a late fitness test in order to determine their availability.

Mourinho said: “Anthony, I have to wait a bit for more. It’s his knee.

“He was injured in the Friday training session and yesterday (Saturday) he couldn’t train. He had treatment in the morning at the training ground and he stayed away.

“I’m waiting for the doctor but when it’s impossible to play today, I have my doubts (for the Cup final). Let’s wait and see, also for Romelu. I know he will be back on Tuesday.”

If both Martial and Lukaku cannot make themselves fit before Saturday’s clash against Chelsea then the United boss will have to start with Marcus Rashford upfront as the lone striker.

This will severely impact Jose’s tactics and his options from the bench will become very limited.
