Jose Mourinho’s managerial career at Manchester United is hanging by a thread.
And there is every chance the Portuguese might not survive past his week as the Red Devils have reportedly held talks with Zinedine Zidane for becoming their next manager.
While there are a number of other candidates for the job but clearly Zizou is the number one priority for the club.
And even the fans want Zinedine Zidane to replace Jose Mourinho as the next boss.
But there are a number of reasons why the former Real Madrid manager might not be the right choice for Manchester United.
Yes, there’s no denying that Zidane has worked wonders with Madrid during his short stay with the club – winning multiple Champions League titles but the Frenchman is still not a very experienced manager.
A lot of the so-called big names have come and perished in England and Zinedine Zidane does not have a whole not of experience to cope up with the troubles that the Premier League comes with.
Another big reason why Zinedine Zidane might not succeed at Old Trafford is the fact that he inherited a top class team when he took charge of Real Madrid. The Los Blancos outfit had a number of match winner so working with them was relatively easy.
Here though is a pretty average Man United side. And even the players who are capable of brilliance have not been performing at their highest level. So it would be interesting to see if Zinedine Zidane can work his magic on a mediocre team as well.
Last season, Real Madrid won their third successive Champions League title but the ground reality is that they were very poor in the La Liga. Madrid finished third on the league table – 17 points behind the eventual champions Barcelona.
We are not saying that Zinedine Zidane is a bad manager but it would require some really special skill and determination to bring Manchester United out of this mess.
