Mauro Icardi was without a doubt one of the best football players in the Serie A during the 2017-18 season but to everyone’s surprise, the forward was left out of the Argentine squad for the upcoming World Cup in Russia.

But now it looks like the snubbing from the Argentine board might become a blessing in disguise for the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United.

Up until now, Icardi had maintained that his future is with Inter Milan and the forward is desperate to sign a new long-term deal with the Serie A side.

Now though according to Inter’s youth sector chief Roberto Samaden, the club will be willing to listen to offers for Mauro Icardi.

Samaden told Sports Italia: “He is one of the best strikers in the world.

“If there will be offers for him I believe the club will need to think about them, it is the law of the market that counts but I think that Icardi is a player of Inter and he will remain at Inter.”

This bit of news will certainly be good news for Premier League trio Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea.

While United and Arsenal have held a substantial interest in Icardi for some time now, recent reports suggest that Chelsea are the latest club to join the bandwagon.

Icardi managed to score 29 goals in just 36 appearances for Inter Milan during the 2017-18 season but even this was not enough for him to book a ticket for the upcoming World Cup.

And now it seems as if the Argentine forward wants to move to a bigger club and a more popular league in order to gain more exposure from his national side.
