West Ham United spent close to a 100 million pounds during the summer transfer window but four games down the line the Hammers have failed to pick up even a single point.

The Hammers appointed former Man City boss Manuel Pellegrini as their new boss during the summer and the Chilean made close to a dozen signings during the course of the transfer period.

But it seems all those transfers have done very little to turn the fate around for the Hammers.

Now former Ukranian international Gennady Orbu has come out to slam one of West Ham’s summer acquisitions.

The Hammers signed 28-year-old Andriy Yarmolenko from Borussia Dortmund on a four-year contract and Orbu had some harsh words to say about the winger.

The London club paid close to £18 million for Yarmolenko and Gennady feels that the winger does not even reach the level of West Ham United.

The Ukraine international said“Everything points to the fact that he will soon return to Dynamo Kiev,

“and we will note the fiasco of his foreign career.

“It is unlikely that Yarmolenko will be able to make a bright career in the UK.

“Unfortunately, he does not even reach the level of West Ham, which is temporarily in the last place of the tournament table.

“The Londoners are sorry that they paid Borussia Dortmund as much as €20million.”

Andriy Yarmolenko has played in each and every game for West Ham in the Premier League this season but all of those have been substitute appearances.
