Rangers FC brought in Steven Gerrard as their new boss earlier this summer and under the former Liverpool midfielder, the Light Blues have made considerable progress.
The first major achievement for the new boss is the fact that he has brought back European football to Ibrox by helping Rangers qualify for the Europa League.
The Gers have also made a pretty decent start to the new Premiership campaign and many are pinning their hopes on Steven Gerrard’s team to win the league come May.
But as Gerrard is turning Rangers into a powerhouse one major that has popped up is:
Is Steven Gerrard leaving Rangers?
Many Rangers fans feel that Steven Gerrard has already proved himself at the managerial stage and he will now lead for greener pastures – as early as the next season.
And one such person is Light Blues keeper, Allan McGregor who rejoined the club this summer.
“As a person and as a manager, he’s really good and it wouldn’t surprise me one day if he gets – and I am not saying Rangers isn’t a big job, it’s a massive job – a top Premiership club,” said McGregor.
“The club he’s been at all his life [Liverpool] is a massive club as well, and there are a lot of similarities [with Rangers].”
Steven Gerrard has always been favourite to take up that dream job at Liverpool but we don’t feel that he will abandon Rangers at the end of the season.
Liverpool too have not achieved anything under Jurgen Klopp and the German will be in no mood to vacate his chair at Anfield right now.
But one job that could entice Steven Gerrard to leave Ibrox is the role of the next England manager.
Some reports have claimed that the English FA are looking at Steven Gerrard as one of the possible candidates to replace Gareth Southgate but that too is not likely to happen before the Euros.
