OGC Nice midfielder Jean-Michael Seri has been the subject of interest from a series of Premier League clubs and according to reports, the Ivorian can still move to England during the summer.
Arsenal are looking at a number of players as possible transfer targets and Sky believes that the interest in Seri stems from the Gunners’ Head of Football Relations Raul Sanllehi, who almost signed Seri last summer when he was working for Barcelona.
The situation for Chelsea is a bit more complicated though as they are still to sort out their managerial situation.
Antonio Conte is still in charge of the Chelsea team but latest reports suggest that the Blues have already completed negotiations with former Napoli manager Maurizio Sarri and the announcement is expected to be made by the end of this week.
Until Chelsea announce their new manager we don’t feel they will make a move for Jean Michael Seri.
Manchester City were one of the teams who were interested in signing Seri during the January transfer window as a replacement for Yaya Toure and now the reigning Premier League Champions might very well be on the driver’s seat for the transfer of Seri.
Former Man City player Patrick Vieira has been announced as the new manager for Nice and given the Frenchman’s close connections with Man City, Seri could very well move to Manchester in the upcoming months.
