Manchester United are currently in the United States for their pre-season tour and are scheduled to play the San Jose Earthquakes on Sunday.

The Red Half of Manchester had a number of participants in the currently concluded World Cup as a result of which many big names are currently missing from the tour.

Players like Jesse Lingard, Ashley Young and Paul Pogba are currently on the designated three weeks holiday after reaching the final stages of the World Cup and will only return to training a week or so before the new Premier League season.

And if this was not enough, their star signing at the start of the new year – Alexis Sanchez also did not travel with the team to the United States owing to visa issues after which there were several reports that the Chilean might miss the whole preseason.

Now though the Manchester United fans are in for a treat as the forward’s visa issues have been resolved and he is on his way to the US.

United play their next game on Sunday and owing to the heavy time difference between England and the US, there were doubts whether Alexis Sanchez will play against the Earthquakes or not.

But now Jose Mourinho has made it clear in his press conference that the forward will have to be part of the first eleven on Sunday even if he is suffering from jet lag.

Mourinho said(as reported by the San Jose Earthquakes’ official website):

“It is not about when he can [play], but when he has to,

“We have no players and especially in attack we have no players.”

Alexis Sanchez failed to create that known spark for United during the final half of the season as many people felt that the Chilean was tired due to a long season.

But now that the forward has rested for the full summer, he should be ready to jump straight into the action.
