Arsenal are planning to offlaod Mesut ozil during the January transfer window.
As hard as it may sound but this is the truth.
Unai Emery has snubbed the German during the past couple of weeks and Ozil has fallen down the pecking order to such an extent that he was not even named in the Arsenal squad that faced Spurs in the Carabao Cup.
Mesut Ozil is currently the highest earning player in the club but the Arsenal manager has decided to cash in on him instead of making him rot in the wings.
Clubs like Inter Milan are said to be interested in signing up the playmaker but if reports are to believed then Unai Emery might have a better use of him next month.
As per the rumours, the Gunners are planning to use Mesut Ozil in a swap deal for Real Madrid’s Isco.
Isco is out of contract at Real Madrid in 2022 but it seems like Florentino Perez has already sanctioned his sale for next month.
And Arsenal are seemingly interested in swooping up the Spaniard.
But getting Isco in return of Mesut Ozil will not be an easy task given Real Madrid have slapped a £100 million price tag on the player.
This means if Arsenal are truly serious in bringing Isco to the Emirates from Real Madrid then they will have to shell out cash in addition to the German playmaker.
This cash plus Ozil deal could potentially be a deal breaker for Emery but if we were to consider the wages that Arsenal would have to pay Ozil for the rest of the season then this transfer would make absolute sense.
Ozil has fallen out with his manager due to the fact that Unai Emery is not very happy with the languid style of the German and he thinks, the German is excess baggage.
The Gunners boss has absolute reason to believe that given his team have performed exceptionally well without Mesut Ozil in the team and right now it looks really hard for him to get back into the first team.
The 30-year-old has already had a stint with Real Madrid a couple of seasons ago meaning he would not have any hesitation in heading back to Spain.
