Eden Hazard Chelsea news
Eden Hazard - Chelsea

Chelsea along with Manchester City and Liverpool are the only sides who are still unbeaten in the Premier League and the success for the Blues has much to do with Eden Hazard’s form.

The Belgian had a poor campaign under Antonio Conte last season but under his new boss, Eden Hazard is flying high again.

The wide midfielder has been given a more free role by Maurizio Sarri following which Eden Hazard has made a huge impact up until now.

While Hazard has been soaring high his teammate Alvaro Morata has been warming the benches as Sarri clearly favours Olivier Giroud as his lone striker.

But the former Napoli man chose to hand Morata a rare start this weekend as the former Real Madrid man featured against Manchester United.

That start though did very little to boost the striker’s confidence and the Chelsea fans have once again lashed out on the Spaniard.

Now though, footballing legend, Ruud Gullit has come to the aid of Alvaro Morata as he has chosen to lay the blame on Chelsea’s wide players – Eden Hazard and Willian for the striker’s poor performances.

Ruud Gullit said on beINSports: “The worst part is you can see Willian and Hazard always dribble inside because they don’t trust him.

“It is difficult for a striker to play with these two who go inside all the time, you don’t know where to go.

“But also when the crosses are in, I think there was a moment in the first half where you asked ‘where is Morata’, he wasn’t there. So they don’t trust him.”

In reality, if you go back and watch the Chelsea vs Manchester United game again you will notice that Gullit is spot on with Eden Hazard’s tendency to cut back inside but the kind of form that he is in, not even Sarri can tell him to change his approach.
