Dortmund won the two-legged Round of 32 clash with an aggregate scoreline of 4-3 and it was anything but easy for Peter Stöger’s side. BVB were on the verge of elimination as they were trailing 1-0 to Atlanta during the second leg. But in the 83rd minute of the match, Marcel Schmelzer popped up with an equalizer to tilt the tie in favour of Dortmund.
After the match though, on-loan striker, Michy Batshauyi accused the Atlanta fans of making monkey noises which were directed towards him.
Batshuayi tweeted: “2018 and still racists monkey noises in the stands … really ?! hope you have fun watching the rest of @EuropaLeague on TV while we are through. #SayNoToRacism #GoWatchBlackPanther.”

Borussia Dortmund will now face Red Bull Salzburg in the Round of 16 of the Europa League. The first leg of the fixture will take place on 8th of March, 2018.
