Arsenal Football Club announced Unai Emery as their new manager this week and the Spaniard has already identified the players who will play key roles in his team during the upcoming season.
According to the latest reports. Emery has pinpointed midfielder Aaron Ramsey and January signing Pierre Emerick Aubameyang as his main players for the 2018-19 season.
Aubameyang arrived at the Emirates in January from Borussia Dortmund and since then the Gabon International has played 13 Premier League games scoring 9 goals in the process.
Aubameyang is sure to be Arsenal’s prized possession for the coming few campaigns so Unai Emery’s fixation over the striker does not come as a surprise.
But it is the new boss’ admiration for Aaron Ramsey that raises a few questions – more so after the midfielder has been tipped to move out of Arsenal during the summer transfer window.
Ramsey’s current contract with the Gunners ends in the summer of 2019 and recently his agent had revealed that talks for a new deal are yet to take place.
Manchester United are said to be one of the teams interested in signing up the 29-year-old before the start of the new season and if Unai Emery’s love for Aaron Ramsey holds any truth then surely Jose Mourinho is in line for a setback.
