Chelsea currently have two big problems in the form of Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud.
Both the forwards have failed to live up to the expectations of Maurizio Sarri and multiple reports claim that the Blues manager will be out in the market next month looking for a new striker.
Chelsea have been linked with Gonzalo Higuain but according to former Chelsea man Tony Cascarino, the Stamford Bridge outfit should make a move for West Ham’s Marko Arnautovic.
Arnautovic was the talisman for the Hammers last season and this season too the centre-forward has been at the top of his game under new boss Manuel Pellegrini.
The Austrian international was one of Jose Mourinho’s top targets for the January transfer window but now that the Portuguese has been sacked by Man United, Cascarino feels Chelsea should make a move for him next month.
Speaking on talkSPORT’s Weekend Sports Breakfast, Cascarino said: “You know the one player I’d really want to take? Arnautovic – I’d take him in a heartbeat.
“I think he’d fit perfectly into Chelsea.
“The thing with Arnautovic – he reminds me of that Eric Cantona mindset,
“He thinks he’s good enough to be up there at the top table, and he is.
“He was dreadful at times last year, but there’s a real player in there and he needs a challenge.
“And maybe the challenge is West Ham? I’m not saying he should leave West Ham, but he is a guy who needs to be winning things.
“He’s that good of a player.
“Arnautovic is a player capable of playing for one of the best teams in England.”
Marko Arnautovic has played 13 games for West Ham United this season in the Premier League scoring five goals and providing two assists and the 29-year-old had previously said that he wants to take that next step in his career.
So should Sarri make a move for the centre-forward?
