Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino has made a slow start to the current season which has worried a number of the Reds fans.

This slow pace though has little to do with Roberto Firmino’s form but with the formation tweak that Jurgen Klopp has used during this season.

Klopp has used Mo Salah as a number 9 for most of the season which has limited the role of the Brazilian.

But the Liverpool manager is not ready to accept all the criticism that has been directed at Roberto Firmino saying that as many as 20 German coaches had praised the forward after Liverpool’s game vs Fulham.

Liverpool beat Fulham 2-0 at home right before the international break and Jurgen Klopp’s friends were all gushing over Roberto Firmino’s performance.

“In the last home game against Fulham, I had 20 German coaches in the stadium,” said Klopp, according to Liverpool’s official website.

“Most of them were friends of mine, and I know them all.

“They watched the game. I’m not sure what the critics were saying about Bobby Firmino after the game, but when I saw the coaches later and we had drinks together, they were like ‘Bobby Firmino… what a player!’

“It’s because of the small things he is doing, he is working hard, he is here, he is there, he has five goals now and he opens 5,000 gaps for everybody. It’s about how you see it.”

Roberto Firmino has so far played 18 games this campaign for Liverpool and he has managed to score just five goals but with the high-profile clash vs PSG coming up, the forward will hope to put his name on the scoresheet.
