Rangers FC have been one of the busiest clubs in Europe during the summer transfer window bringing in as many as 12 players. And atleast two more signings are still to arrive at the club before Friday.
But on one hand, when the Light Blues are busy bringing in players, the club must also try and hold back some of their top performing ones.
And one such player who has been the subject of some heavy interest in striker Alfredo Morelos.
Morelos has been in fine form for the Gers from the start of the 2018-19 season which has earned him his first call-up for Colombia. But this good streak has not gone unnoticed as French club Bordeaux have shown interest in the striker.
According to a Colombian news outlet, Bordeaux have put forward a bit of £5.4 million for Alfredo Morelos which has been swiftly rejected by the Ibrox outfit.
While many feel that Rangers have no interest in the selling of Alfredo Morelos but reports in Scotland claim that the Gers are ready to part ways with the striker but not in the price bracket which Bordeaux are offering.
Rumours have it that the Light Blues want nothing less than £15 million for Alfredo Morelos which has put the exit of the player in serious doubt.
The transfer window across Europe closes on Friday and with just one day remaining almost everyone is certain that Bordeaux will not have enough time on their hands in order to negotiate a deal.
Some reports also claim that Rangers have demanded such an astronomical price so late in the transfer window only because they do not wish to sell Alfredo Morelos – not atleast during this summer.
So either way, Alfredo Morelos will be staying in Scotland atleast till the end of the year.
