Rangers FC have made contact with Watford keeper Daniel Bachmann – well atleast the player claims so.

Daniel joined Watford from Sunderland in the summer of 2017 on a free transfer but this season he has been out on loan to Premiership club Kilmarnock.

So far, Bachmann has played in 22 games for Killie keeping 10 clean sheets in the process and it looks like the 24-year-old has caught the attention of Rangers.

The Watford loanee has claimed that Rangers have made contact with him over a possible transfer during the summer transfer agent.

“There are contacts with my English agent, but now I am concentrating exclusively on Kilmarnock,” said Bachmann(as reported).

“From June I am again a player of Watford and I want to prevail in the Premier League.

“It’s good that my achievements are acknowledged, but at the moment I am only concerned with achieving our goals with Kilmarnock,”

Rangers moving for the Watford keeper is a bit odd especially since Gerrard already has three top class keepers amongst his ranks.

The only possible reason for making a move for Bachmann is because back-up keeper Wes Foderingham could be on his way out of Ibrox during the summer.

As things stand, the 24-year-old will be heading back to Watford at the end of the season and some reports claim that Killie might just try and bring him back for another season-long loan.
