Manchester United appointed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as their interim boss in December after the club sacked Jose Mourinho.

The Norwegian was brought in to steady the ship until the end of the season while the management took time to find their next permanent boss.

But Ole made such a positive impression with the positive results that Ed Woodward chose to hand Solskjaer a three-year contract.

Under Solskjaer the familiar rhythm was back amongst the team and finally, it looked like, the club had found the successor to Sir Alex Ferguson.

Sadly though ever since the Norwegian was appointed as the permanent boss, Man United’s performances have been declining.

Since the three-year deal was handed to Ole, Man United have managed to pick up only two wins in nine matches and many believe that the disciple of Sir Alex might be sacked during the summer transfer window.

Reports suggest that if the form of United does not improve during the next couple of games then, the Man United management might choose to sack Ole Solskjaer during the summer transfer window.

And it looks like former Chelsea boss, Antonio Conte is eyeing the job in case Ole is sacked.

Antonio Conte made a superb impact during his first season in England winning the Premier League with the Blues but his second season was much tougher.

Chelsea saw a slump of form and after struggling through the season, the Stamford Bridge outfit finally chose to sack the Italian in the summer of 2018.

Since then, Antonio Conte has not returned back to management and reports are claiming that he is eyeing the Man United job for his potential return.

It still remains to be seen whether Ed Woodward would choose to sack Solskjaer during the summer transfer window given the previous manager were given ample amount of time and money in order to build their squad.
