According to reports, Bayern Munich are ready to part ways with centre-back Jerome Boateng as the player looks for a fresh challenge.
Jerome Boateng spent one season with Manchester City but back in 2011, the German international went on to join Bayern and he has been a mainstay at the club ever since.
But the 30-year-old is slowly deteriorating and this past season, he has been really poor for the Bavarian outfit.
Boateng made just 28 appearances across all competitions and now reports are claiming that Bayern are ready to offload him at a cut-price.
The defender’s current deal expires in 2021 but it looks like Bayern Munich are ready to take around £20 million for him.
This will surely excite both Arsenal and Man United who have been linked with the central defender a few times during the past year.
While some experts claim that Man United should not be tempted with the price tag and go on to sign Jerome Boateng since the player is already in his 30’s.
But he could be a perfect option for Unai Emery since the Arsenal boss will only have around £45 million to spend during the summer.
This would make Jermone Boateng the perfect signing for Emery as the player looks for a fresh challenge.
Having said that though, signing Jerome Boateng would be easier said than done since the latest updates have suggested that Bayern Munich have gone out an offered the defender to Serie A side Juventus.
It is still unclear whether Juve have shown any interest but given that the Turin based outfit are also in the market looking for a new centre-back it would be surprising if both Man United and Arsenal might not even come close to signing the 30-year-old.
