So far Arsenal have made two unsuccessful bids for Kieran Tierney and if reports are to be believed then they could be launching a third one.
According to Sky Sports, Celtic are yet to agree to the terms on the offer which is why the Gunners are planning to make a third bid for the left-back.
The report claims: “Arsenal are expected to make a new offer for Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney over the coming days, according to Sky sources.
“Sky Sports News understands the north London club are increasingly confident an agreement can be reached for Tierney before the transfer deadline closes on August 8.”
And now speaking about Kieran Tierney former Spurs man Darren Bent has claimed that the youngster is “desperate” to join the Emirates outfit this summer.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former England striker said:
“He’s desperate to leave Celtic and join Arsenal in the Premier League, I’m sure of that,
“At the moment, it looks like it might be up in the air as Celtic want more money upfront and Arsenal are reluctant to pay it.
“You can’t blame Tierney for wanting to join Arsenal. Celtic are a massive club but he has won everything there and proved himself in the SPL. He will want to show he can do it in the world’s biggest league, and at a higher level.”
If this statement from Bent is true then surely it has something to do with the wages that Arsenal are willing to offer him in case he makes the switch.
A few days ago, Football Insider had reported that the Gunners were willing to pay Kieran Tierney around £75,000-per-week in a long-term contract which is why maybe the left-back is so eager to make the move before the transfer window shuts down.
