The Italian started the season in the right way but with each passing month, Sarri ball has been failing and after Chelsea’s 4-0 loss to Bournemouth multiple reports have claimed that Sarri will not last the whole season.
And this could very well be true due to two factors.
Firstly, the Blues have a tendency to change managers as soon as they are performing poorly and secondly Sarri is sure to head for the exit doors if the Blues fail to finish in the top four by the end of the season.
And according to talkSPORT host, Adrian Durham, Jose Mourinho is likely to return back to Stamford Bridge if Maurizio Sarri is sacked.
Yes, Jose Mourinho.
“If it is anything other than a Chelsea win, Sarri is in massive trouble,” the talkSPORT host said.
“I think he’s gone. If Chelsea don’t win that, I think he’s gone.
“I know fans aren’t looking forward to the game, I’ve spoken to Chelsea fans and they’re not looking forward to the game at all.
“If they don’t win the game I think he’s gone.
“Who next? Because Jose Mourinho is free, you could see it happening, couldn’t you. Of course, you can see it happening.
“He’s available, and the other one is Frank Lampard. When you look at what Man United have done, you brought up Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, if you bring back a club legend and it fits like a glove.
“He’s already had a little taste of it at Derby where things are going very well.
“Can you see Frank Lampard managing Chelsea, taking over from Sarri if they don’t get a result [Saturday]?
“I don’t think he’ll be able to turn it down.”
Jose Mourinho was sacked as the Manchester United manager in December of last year after failing to take United to the desired heights.
Some reports have claimed that Jose Mourinho might head back to Portugal for his next club but we wouldn’t put a return back to Stamford Bridge beyond imagination since such a thing has already has already occurred once.
