Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is once again in the limelight this summer with the likes of Real Madrid and Juventus wanting to sign him.
Last month, the Frenchman had claimed that he wanted a new challenge which has prompted many to believe that he wants to force his way out of the club.
The midfielder said: “After this season and everything that happened this season, with my season being my best season as well, I think for me it could be a good time to have a new challenge somewhere else.
“I am thinking of this, to have a new challenge somewhere else.”
While Man United are adamant that they do not wish to part ways with the midfielder but Solskjaer might very well have to sell him off this summer – especially with the kind of money that’s being offered for him(reportedly).
As per the Times, Juventus are preparing to offer as much as £120 million in order to sign the World Cup winner this transfer window.
The report claims, “Juventus are thought to be preparing a £120m bid for Paul Pogba.
“The serial Italian champions want to reacquire Pogba, their former player, as part of an audacious strategy to win the Champions League and cement their position as one of the world’s biggest football clubs commercially.
“Manchester United, however, are resolved to resist any efforts to prise Pogba away from them, whether from Juve, Real Madrid or any other suitor for the French World Cup winner.
“United expect Pogba to be their player next season and a key part of their rebuilding under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.”
The United board had chosen to stick with Paul Pogba when they sacked Jose Mourinho last year but with each passing day, rumours of the midfielder’s exit seem to be growing.
And if these rumours of Juventus’ bid are true then it would be wise for Solskjaer to offload Paul Pogba and use that money to bring in a replacement.
