PSG will travel to Old Trafford this Tuesday to take on Man United in the Champions League.
And by the looks of it, Edinson Cavani could miss the high-profile encounter.
Edinson Cavani limped off at half-time during PSG’s 1-0 win over Bordeaux on Saturday and the Uruguayan did not come back on for the second half.
While leaving the pitch, the forward was seen clutching his hamstring and later Thomas Tuchel confirmed that the player had indeed injured a muscle.
“No, I don’t have good news for you,” Tuchel told Canal +.
“It’s not the big muscle, but a muscle is affected anyway. We must wait. I didn’t see him or talk to the doctor.
“Honestly, I don’t know if he will be here on Tuesday. If he leaves us at half-time, I’m afraid it’s serious. The sight of the injury worries me. It is definitely not a good sign.”
If Edinson Cavani was to miss the Man United vs PSG clash then it will be a huge blow for the Parisian side since Tuchel will already be without Neymar.
The Brazilian has been ruled out off both the legs with a foot injury and now it looks like Edinson Cavani will also have to sit out the game.
Without Cavani, Kylian Mbappe will be the only fit attacker out of the famed PSG trio and Solskjaer will most certainly feel that the tie might swing in Manchester United’s favour.
The likes of Victor Lindelof and Phil Jones have been in fine form and without Neymar and now Edinson Cavani to worry about, the United duo will surely be eased off of a lot of pressure.
According to RMC Sport journalist Loic Tanzi, Edinson Cavani is sure to miss the Man United vs PSG clash on Tuesday.
On Twitter, Tanzi wrote: “It’s now a certainty. @ ECavaniOfficial will not be there against Manchester United.
“According to the entourage of the player, the attacker suffers from a lesion in the right thigh. Uncertain even for the return. Race against time.”
