Liverpool picked up the Champions League trophy last season and this season it seems as if their dream of winning the Premier League will also come true. And this has all been possible for Jurgen Klopp.

The German manager has transformed the Anfield outfit and right now Liverpool are one of the major powerhouses in Europe.

The Reds have grown a never say die attitude and even the mighty Pep Guardiola has fallen at the hands of Jurgen Klopp.

But while everyone has been praising the former BVB manager and his tactics, the German has revealed one of the major reasons why his Liverpool side have been able to gather so much accolade in such a short span of time.

According to the manager, the fact that his players have so much versatility is a very big advantage when it comes to winning games – especially those tricky ones.

“We have them as well, James Milner can play around 13 positions probably, he probably would be the first choice if all the goalies were out,” he said.

“Fabinho can play at least two, Trent can play a lot, so we have that. We don’t have that many specialists.

“People think sometimes it’s a weakness if you’re that versatile because you think ‘OK, I don’t have a fixed position, he puts me in there, there, there, then I’m out’.

“It is [a strength]. It helps in building a squad, especially. That helps a lot.

“Because you don’t have a specialist in these positions, you have three, four, five players that can play really different positions, that helps you a lot.

“It is a quality, but also a weakness. If players can only be in one position, managers do not even think about moving them,”

Jurgen Klopp came agonisingly close to delivering the Premier League last season at Liverpool but the way his team have started this campaign everyone is certain the Reds will be finally able to break the voodoo.
