Tottenham Hotspur have had a pretty average summer transfer window in comparison to the other clubs but they have never been known as massive spenders.
Spurs have brought in the likes of Ndombele and Sessegnon during the summer but many experts believe these handful of signings might not be enough since the club are on the verge of losing some of their star players.
Christian Eriksen almost had one step on the exit doors but somehow his move out of the club did not materialize in time. And if reports are to be believed then the Danish international is more than certain to head out next year.
Apart from Eriksen, there have been whispers that even the likes of Dele Alli, Harry Kane and most recently Lucas Moura might be looking for greener pastures next summer if the club fails to win a silverware this campaign.
So amongst this, Football Insider are reportedly that Tottenham Hotspur are keeping tabs on three Leicester City players and one of them has been strongly linked with Manchester United.
1. Harvey Barnes(AM):
Barnes, 21, has come up through the ranks at Leicester City and last season he was sent out on loan to West Brom.
The attacking midfielder though returned back to the club in January following which he ended up playing in 16 Premier League – scoring 1 goal and assisting 2.
The 21-year-old has signed a contract extension during the summer which will keep him with the Foxes until 2024. But if reports are to be believed then Daniel Levy might not have to shell out too much to bring Harvey Barnes on board next season.
2. Demarai Gray(LW):
The left-sided winger has been one of the key players for Leicester ever since he joined the club back in 2016 from Birmingham. And last season, the 23-year-old featured in 34 Premier League games for the club.
During the 2019-20 season, he has featured in only 2 league matches and that too on the right flank so naturally there have been rumours that Leicester are looking to offload him especially since he is out of contract in 2021.
As per TransferMarkt, Demarai Gray is valued at €20 million but reports suggest if Tottenham Hotspur pay somewhere around €35 million, they should be able to sign the England international.
3. James Maddison(AM):
James Maddison has been the star players for the Foxes this season having featured in every league game so far.
But if Tottenham Hotspur want to sign him, then surely Daniel Levy will have to go through a number of obstacles since Man United were being heavily linked with the 22-year-old during the summer and as per reports, the Red Devils will return back next year.
Right now, the Coventry born lad is valued at around €45 million but with the likes of Man United and Spurs interested, Leicester will surely look to cash in on him.
And we believe, Levy would not want to get into a financial war with Manchester United.
