Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has reignited his interest in Chelsea winger Eden Hazard.

And if the latest reports are to be believed then the Los Blancos have already made the first move earlier this week.

The Daily Record are claiming that Real Madrid have made the first bid for Eden Hazard but the Blues have swiftly rejected the offer.

But no, Chelsea have turned down the offer not because they do not want to let go of Eden Hazard but instead the Stamford Bridge outfit are holding on for a transfer fee of around £86m.

This prompt move from Real Madrid has built in the confidence inside Eden Hazard that Zidane truly wants to sign him and the Belgian international will now do everything in his might to force a transfer during the summer.

Eden Hazard is under contract with Chelsea until the summer of 2020 which means at the end of the season the winger will enter the final year of his deal.

If the Blues do not cash in on the player this time around then they will risk losing him for free one year later.

This effectively puts Real Madrid in the driver’s seat but Zidane knows very well that the Blues will not be ready to give up without a fight.

If rumours are to be believed then the Real Madrid boss will get a 300 million pound transfer budget during the summer which means that this is not the final bid for Eden Hazard in any sense.

Eden Hazard has played in 39 games for Chelsea this season having scored 16 goals and supplying 11 assists.

But under Maurizio Sarri, the 28-year-old’s form has really taken a hit since the Italian has chosen to play Eden Hazard in a variety of roles due to the absence of a top-class striker.
