Lucas Moura so far has made two starts for Spurs in the Premier League but there are serious doubts whether he will feature in the first XI when Spurs take on Arsenal next weekend.

The former PSG man was dropped to the bench when Spurs took on Man City a fortnight ago and experts believe Pochettino will do the same when they visit the Emirates.

Also, the fact that Son has returned back from suspension means Lucas Moura has somewhat dropped down the pecking order and there is a big chance that Eriksen will take his place in the first XI during the North London Derby.

But this doubt over his selection hasn’t stopped the Brazilian from making a war cry before the derby saying that this game vs their arch-rivals will be very important to the confidence back into the team after losing to Newcastle United.

Lucas Moura said(as reported): “Is this the perfect game for us to have after the Newcastle defeat? Yes. We need to look forward now. There are a lot of hard games to come.

“We lost against Newcastle but I am sure we have the quality to go to Arsenal and come back with three points. That’s what we must try to do.

“Each game is different. This is a new season and we have new players. I think we are stronger now. I am sure we can go anywhere and win games.

“For sure it was a very bad result against Newcastle. We tried but it was very difficult to play against them, especially as they kept everyone behind the ball after they scored.

“It was difficult to find the space in the air and the ground because everyone was in the box. I missed a very clear opportunity and I am upset about this.

“We need to get back to work this week and win the next game against Arsenal.”

Lucas Moura might be optimistic about playing vs Arsenal but Pochettino will most certainly try and use Christian Eriksen to cut open the Gunners’ defence.

So the Brazilian will have to keep hold of all the passion and aggression and use it when he comes off the bench in the second half(hopefully).
