Emiliano Sala signed for Cardiff City from French club Nantes earlier this month and the player was scheduled to join the Bluebirds last week.

But while flying to Cardiff his plane lost radar contact abruptly and since then Sala along with all the other members on the plane have been missing.

An initial search operation was conducted but after not having any luck the authorities chose to shut down the operations.

This is when the footballing world chose to come forward and raise funds in order to fund a private search operation for Emiliano Sala.

A GoFundMe page was created by Emiliano Sala’s representative Sport Cover with the aim to raise €150,000.

But until Monday, more than €300,000 had been raised.

And a number of top footballers from all across the globe have made contributions to the fund.

Kylia Mbappe has donated €30,000 while Adrien Rabiot has donated €25,000 to the cause.

Emiliano Sala’s former Nantes teammate N’Golo Kante has also made his contributions.
