Arsenal could face a really tough challenge in trying to sign Diogo Jota from Wolves at the end of the season – as per rumours.

Diogo Jota has been on some decent form for Wolves this season having scored 15 goals in 37 games for Santo’s men so far across all competitions.

And as per the latest reports, his former club Atletico Madrid are keen on signing him back during the summer transfer window.

Diogo Jota originally joined Wolves on loan from Atletico and then made the move permanent in the summer of 2018. And it seems like Simeone wants him back.

Reportedly the La Liga side are willing to pay around £30 million for the services of the forward which is a price that should align perfectly with Wolves’ demands in the summer.

The 23-year-old has two years left on his current deal so Wolves will not shy away from offloading the forward at the end of this season but this interest from Atletico will be a serious cause of concern for Arsenal.

Mikel Arteta wants to add some attacking prowess to his squad for the upcoming season and at a reported transfer price of £30 million, Jota would have been the perfect backup to the likes of Martinelli or Aubameyang.

But now with Simeone’s side entering the race, the Gunners might have no other option but to back off and give up the chase since the last thing they would want is to pay too much for a back-up striker.

So while Diogo Jota will most certainly be a fine addition to the Arsenal squad but surely Arteta will not be willing to enter into a bidding race with the Spanish giants during the summer transfer window.
