Mesut Ozil Arsenal

Mesut Ozil and Lucas Torreira have badly fallen down the pecking order at Arsenal but there’s a chance the duo could return when the Gunners take on Wolves in the Premier League during the weekend.

Ozil and Torreira have not featured for Arsenal since the restart of the 2019-20 season with the German suffering from a lower back injury and the South American recovering from an ankle injury.

But the Gunners have confirmed that Lucas Torreira has returned to full training and will be available for selection for the clash at the Molineux Stadium on Saturday. And as per as Mesut Ozil is concerned, the playmaker will undergo a late fitness test in order to determine his availability.

Arsenal have done pretty well in the absence of the two midfielders so even if they are selected against Wolves, at best they will find a place on the bench.

The detailed team news is as follows(as per the club’s official website):

Mesut Ozil
Being assessed ahead of Wolves (a) following back soreness.

Lucas Torreira
Fit and available for selection.
