Man United will be able to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund sooner or later this transfer window if Bild’s Deputy Editor in Chief Henning Feindt is to be believed.
Feindt has written for Bild that BVB currently view Erling Haaland as a much more important player for the club than Jadon Sancho which is why the German club will not have too much of an issue in letting him leave.
“I think that Haaland is even more important than Jadon Sancho for BVB’s championship chances,” he wrote for Bild.
“The Englishman would rather leave the club today than tomorrow, and although he was last top scorer (17 goals, 17 assists), he would be easier to replace.
“With Brandt, Reus, Hazard and Reyna, Dortmund has four players who could fill the Sancho gap – especially since the transfer of at least €100million would add another reinforcement.
“Haaland, on the other hand, like Lewandowski, could not be exchanged simply because there are fewer players of this quality in his position.
“In addition, he embodies everything BVB fans love: down-to-earthness, passion and hard work without end.”
Jadon Sancho is United’s top transfer target and with each passing day, it seems like the player will move to Old Trafford before the 2020-21 season begins.
As things stand, Dortmund want an astronomical fee for the sale of the England international but the Man United hierarchy are desperate to bring that amount down, one way or the other.
