The 27-year-old joined PSG from Monaco in 2015 but has failed to secure a constant place in the first XI and this season he has played in only 14 Ligue 1 matches for the Parisian outfit.
And with his contract set to expire in the summer, it’s more or less certain he will not be signing a new deal which automatically makes him a hot property in the transfer market.
As per the rumours, Chelsea want to sign Layvin Kurzawa on a free transfer but right now they will have to join the queue since a host of other big names want the same thing.
Clubs like Barcelona, Napoli and Juventus have all made contact with Layvin Kurzawa but so far none of them have been able to convince the full-back.
Chelsea currently have a serious issue in the left-back position with both Marcos Alonso and Ederson failing to impress and chances are that both of them could be on their way out in the summer.
The Blues have also been linked with players like Ben Chilwell and Alex Telles from Porto but both of them are turning out to be too expensive for Frank Lampard right now.
So it’s no surprise that the manager has now shifted his focus to someone like Layvin Kurzawa who will be available for free at the end of the season.
But all said and done, if the London outfit are really serious about bringing the left-back on board in the summer then they will have to be ready to get their hands dirty especially with so many big names chasing him.
Also, another major factor which could determine the player’s new club is participation in Europe meaning if the Blues can retain their Champions League status then surely they have a massive chance of signing Layvin Kurzawa.
