Man United suffered a really embarrassing loss at the hands of Manchester City in the EFL Cup this week and on Saturday they will take on Norwich City in the Premier League.

Manchester United are currently 5th on the league table with 31 points meaning they are just five points off the top four right now. But on the other hand, Norwich City are bottom of the league table and are winless in their last six league matches.

So on paper, this should be an easy three-pointer for Man United but on the pitch, it will not be so easy since the manager currently has a long injury list which includes the likes of McTominay and Paul Pogba.

And also to make matters worse, their performances against the so-called weaker sides have been really poor so far this season.

Man United team news vs Norwich City:

The first and the biggest blow right now is the injury to Harry Maguire who has reportedly torn a hip muscle during the Wolves game and is currently facing a lengthy time on the sidelines.

This is a huge cause of concern for Ole since the likes of Rojo, Bailly and Tuanzebe are also out injured meaning once again Phil Jones will partner Lindelof in central defence on Saturday.

Now coming to the midfielder area, both Pogba and McTominay are out injured and subsequently ruled out for the weekend’s clash.

This means that Fred will once again be partnered by Nemanja Matic in central midfield after the latter started the City game on the bench.

Jesse Lingard once again had a flop show vs Man City in midweek and we are more or less certain that the manager will not be giving the player any more chances and it will be Andreas Pereira who will play in the No 10 role just behind the striker.

Anthony Martial started the derby on the bench and it was Mason Greenwood who got a chance upfront but the Frenchman should replace the youngster.

Daniel James and Marcus Rashford ran tirelessly during the derby and the duo will have to go again vs Norwich City on Saturday.

Man United were badly humiliated at Old Trafford by their local rivals in midweek and right now Solskjaer needs his team to perform exceptionally well vs the Canaries or else the manager might very well start losing the support of the home crowd.
