Manchester United will not have to make much of an effort to sign attacking midfielder Jack Grealish from Aston Villa during the summer.
According to Alan Hutton, if Villa cannot hold onto their Premier League status, there’s no way the 24-year-old will want to ply his trade in the Championship next season.
“It depends on how Aston Villa are going to stand on it – are they going to stand tough and say no, that’s it? A lot is going to depend on what league they’re in. There is no way Jack can continue playing at Villa if Villa get relegated, it’s impossible,” Hutton said to Football Insider.
“It’s going to be a very tough decision, I know it’s going to be tough for him, he’s Villa through and through, his family are Villa through and through so it’s going to be hard.
“For his future, he deserves to be at a top-four club in my opinion.”
Will Jack Grealish play in the Championship?
There’s no way Jack Grealish will want a demotion after having tasted the thrills of the Premier League this year.
This season, the 24-year-old has been one of the most talked-about players in England and almost every pundit has urged him to join a bigger club at the end of the campaign.
Also, Villa know it for a fact they will not be able to hold onto Jack Grealish no matter what the future holds for them. But if they can manage to remain in the Premier League then Dean Smith’s side will at least be able to quote a higher price for their most prized asset.
It’s still unclear if Aston Villa will remain in the top division or not but one thing’s for sure, Jack Grealish will be heading out of Villa Park before the 2020/21 season kicks off.
