Chelsea are ready to spend big money in order to bring in midfielder Declan Rice from Premier League rivals West Ham United, as per Football Insider.

The report claims: “Chelsea are planning to table a massive offer for West Ham star man Declan Rice at the end of the summer, Football Insider understands.

“The west Londoners have embarked on an extraordinary recruitment drive that has put them on course to spend more money than in any previous transfer window.

“A Chelsea source has told Football Insider the club are looking to extend their overhaul by offering a player-exchange deal for Rice worth £70million in total.

“The offer, including the player, will be worth £70m in total.”

Will Declan Rice join Chelsea this summer?

Under normal circumstances, West Ham United would not have wanted to part ways with Declan Rice this summer but as per the rumours, David Moyes needs funds in order to bring in new signings which is why the Hammers could part ways with the midfielder.

Declan Rice is easily the most valuable player in the Hammers squad right now and the club will not accept anything less than £70-80 million for the England international.

But we will have to wait and see as to how the hierarchy responds to this cash plus player deal from Chelsea.

We are not sure which player is being offered as part of the deal but if it’s an unwanted midfielder then there’s every chance David Moyes might agree to the arrangement.

The 21-year-old still has four years left on his current deal at the London Stadium so in theory, the club are in no hurry to part ways with him.
