Liverpool have won their first matches of the new Premier League season and next up they welcome Arsenal at Anfield on Monday night.

The Reds have won 26 of their last 27 home matches in the Premier League but Arsenal have been on a roll this season and so far, the Gunners are yet to taste defeat.

While Jurgen Klopp has a relatively fit squad to choose from but Leeds United, on the opening day had shown that if you have the courage and intelligence then even Liverpool’s defence is breachable.

The Anfield outfit did play a midweek fixture in the EFL Cup vs Lincoln City but most of the regular starters did not feature in that so players like Salah and Sadio Mane will be well-rested and raring to go.

Liverpool team news vs Arsenal:

Liverpool’s back-line chooses themselves more or less with Van Dijk and Joe Gomez playing in central defence with Robertson and Alexander-Arnold playing as the two full-backs.

Joe Gomez has been suffering from a slight injury but he should be fully fit to feature against Arsenal on Monday.

The signing of Thiago has made Liverpool are more all-round side now and the former Bayern Munich man is going to make his full league debut vs the Gunners.

And with Jordan Henderson ruled out with an injury, Fabinho will also get to play a role in midfield alongside Gini Wijnaldum.

Minamino and Curtis Jones both had wonderful outings vs Lincoln City in midweek but they will not get a chance to start with Sadio Mane and Mo Salah returning to the line-up.

Xherdan Shaqiri will also be an absentee from the starting XI after having scored a goal in midweek.

Liverpool have secured the signing of Diogo Jota from Wolves but it will be Roberto Firmino who will start up front vs Mikel Arteta’s men.

Jurgen Klopp’s men haven’t lost a Premier League home game since April of 2017 and if Arsenal are not at their absolute best on Monday then Liverpool will be looking at yet another three points.
