Mo Salah was on the receiving end of a harsh tackle from Sergio Ramos in the Champions League final on Saturday. And the injury forced the Egyptian off the pitch right after the half-hour mark.

Salah landed awkwardly on his shoulder and in the post-match interview Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp claimed that the injury could be serious.

Klopp said: “It’s a serious injury, a really serious injury. He is in the hospital for an X-ray. It’s either the collarbone or the shoulder itself. It doesn’t look good, that’s it.”

Now multiple reports have claimed that the Egyptian has dislocated his shoulder and there is huge possibility that he could miss the World Cup that starts in less than three weeks time.

A dislocated shoulder usually takes 12 to 16 weeks to heal and if the injury is serious then there is no way that Liverpool would want Egypt to risk him as it might hamper his fitness in the long run.

After the injury, almost everyone has fired shots and hurled abuses at Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos for his physical tackle on Salah.

Now though the Spaniard has come out and shown his support for the forward.

Ramos tweeted: “Sometimes football shows you it’s good side and other times the bad,

“Above all, we are fellow pros. Get well soon Salah. The future awaits you.”

Even if Mo Salah does not recover fully before the World Cup, there is every chance that Egypt will travel with the forward – hoping against hope.
